COPYRIGHT & MEDIA RIGHTS
Who owns the clips, photos and thumbnails on BladeFeed, which license uploaders grant us, and how to license or report media.
THE SHORT VERSION
Skaters keep full ownership of everything they upload. By uploading, they give BladeFeed a license to run and promote the platform — nothing more. BladeFeed does not own user content, and third parties may not reuse it without the creator's permission.
All clips, photos, thumbnails and profile pictures on BladeFeed are user-generated content. The uploader retains all copyright and other intellectual-property rights in everything they post. BladeFeed does not claim ownership of user media. Copyright notices for user media therefore credit the creator, e.g. "© @username", never BladeFeed.
By uploading, creators grant BladeFeed a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license (full text in the Terms of Service, section 3) to: host, store and reproduce their content; technically adapt it (transcode, compress, generate thumbnails, previews and crops in different formats and resolutions); display and distribute it in the BladeFeed app and on bladefeed.app; and use it to promote BladeFeed itself — for example on official BladeFeed social-media channels and in marketing materials, with credit where reasonably practical. The license is sublicensable only as far as needed for hosting/CDN/distribution providers that operate the service. When a creator deletes content or their account, the license ends for that content, subject to routine backups, already-published promotional material and legal retention duties.
The BladeFeed name, logo, branding, original graphics, app design and software are the property of BladeFeed (Andy Durge) and/or its licensors and may not be reused without permission. This applies only to material actually created by BladeFeed — never to user uploads.
BladeFeed claims no ownership of third-party material simply because it appears on the platform. Uploaders are responsible for having the rights to everything they post; video uploads are additionally scanned for copyrighted music before publication.
BladeFeed cannot sell or sub-license user media to third parties. To license, embed, republish or otherwise reuse a clip, photo or thumbnail, contact the creator directly — every video and photo page links to the uploader's public profile. If you cannot reach a creator, email support@bladefeed.app and we will forward your request. When a creator gives permission, credit them as "@username on BladeFeed" where possible.
If media on BladeFeed infringes your rights, use the in-app Report button on the post or email support@bladefeed.app with your full legal name, contact details and proof of ownership. Notices are reviewed under our notice-and-action procedure (EU DSA Art. 16) and you will be informed of the outcome. Submitting false claims may lead to account termination and legal action.
